Pete is WIDE.

Wide angled lens that is. We rented a wide angle for the wedding we shot this weekend, so I wanted to have some fun with Pete before we sent it back. You asked for Pete, now you're getting lots of him!
Yawning, not biting. No worries
I sure do like this little guy.

My Editing Buddy

Today has be a lazy, photo editing kind of day. Me and my editing buddy spent some quality time together.
Yep, he even has his own chair. And he keeps a bone in the cup holder. And only distracts me every 30 seconds or so for some pets. And his doggy lips are funny. What a great editing buddy I have.

And I Don't Even Care.

It's not over Thanksgiving yet, and I've started decorating for Christmas. Tee hee hee.
I might have gotten a tad carried away:
But Pete's ready for Santa.
But thinks Christmas tastes bad.
Hope you're feeling in the holiday spirit as much as I am! xoelyl

Go and Do This. Now.

Arcade Fire is so cool.

I tried to do my house, but the address didn't work. So we did our current house for Pete. His advice was to not pee on other dogs faces. Because he did that last week. And got in B-I-G trouble.

Peter Frankenstein Fair

So I really try not to double post from my pro blog, but I can't help it this time. I just love this photo of Pete from our photobooth announcement too much. So here it is, double time, for your viewing pleasure...

Peter Frankenstein Fair, The Greatest Dog That Has Ever Lived

Ryan and I are really enthused by Pete lately. Minus his exsessive shedding at the moment, he’s just about the greatest dog that has ever lived, and he’s getting greater. The new things that he has recently done include:
  • Catching the ball when we throw it up really, really, really (I mean really) high
  • Going to his bed when we eat dinner. We always make him do this when we have meals (because let’s be honest, we eat at the couch most nights and he likes to sneak little tasty treats when we aren’t looking), but recently we haven't even had to tell him to go to his bed--he’s just figured it out. When we make our meal and emerge from the kitchen, he goes straight to his bed with no prompting. Awesome.
  • He is trying to negotiate with me. We always put him outside when we leave the house, and usually he’s happy with that. Except for lately when it’s been cold. I’ll open the back door, tell him to go outside, and then he will walk right past me into his kennel, and look at me like “Hey, I’m just going to stay in here today, is that cool?”
  • And my most favorite thing about Pete: He lets me take ridiculous pictures of him, as seen below.
Don’t worry moms, this isn’t the same bowl that I put your babies in. This is the slightly larger one that it nests in. But Pete is our baby for the time being, so he gets the bowl treatment.

But Pete was pretty hilarious when we took these pics. He DID NOT want to go in the bowl. I suppose "let's me take ridiculous pictures' wasn't a wholly honest statement. Puts up with our shinanagans because we give him treats is probably more accurate. Here's a rundown of how this went:

Ryan picks up Pete and puts him in absurdly large bowl.
Pete escapes and runs for freeeeeddddooooommmm!
Ryan gets Pete back in bowl, and Pete looks at me angered and humiliated, complete with grass of defeat all over him.
Pete realizes he's going to get a little treat, licks his chops and decides to cooperate, indicating this by a wink. What a great dog.

Watch out future Fair children, I will also make you sit in bowls. I'll even try to finagle you in there for your senior pics if I can. Ba-ha-ha.

Speaking of babies in bowls, you can see can see some over on the pro-blog!

Happy (post) Halloween!

I hope everyone had a great boo day, I had a fabulous day of running errands, and getting a lot of stuff done that I've been putting off for a couple of weeks. I even purchased the first Christmas present of the season! And I went to the doggie bakery to get Pete a little treat for Halloween. Then I came home and waited for the trick-or-treaters with my friend Amanda from highschool. All around a great day. Ryan even let me dress Pete up! A little anyway:

Pete's like: Really? Really? You're going to make me wear this thing?

And here's some pics of my niece and nephew-- their costumes were 'out of this world' hahaha.

This pic isn't great quality, but quality in the fact that this is how I will always remember them on Halloween. They must be leia and chewbacca from the part of the movie when
Obi-Wan dies.

Love it. Love it. Love it. Thank you, niece and nephew, for being so entertaining.

New on Website: Little Friends! And blog header winner!

Due to overwhelming response, the winner of the blog header is....VIBRANT! If you couldn't tell already :)  Thank you to everyone who helped me to make the choice.

I also wanted to announce that I just added a new section to my website: Little Friends! If you are a pet owner, you know how our little furry friends become part of the family. So I have expanded my site to include them. Of course, our own pup makes his appearance many times, because he's just so irresistible. Remember him when he was so cute???
Oh, look at that little face, how can you not fall in love with him! I've said it before, I'll say it again - I'm convinced that God makes puppies (and babies) so cute so that you fall in love with them.  And then you get all attached, so when they chew up your FAVORITE rocking chair, you don't banish them to the streets. Speaking of chewing, does anyone know a good brand of pet bed to buy for a puppy who eats everything???

Anyhoo, more pet photos at the site, www.elyfairphotos.com.
